Florida natives Thick As Blood announced via Facebook that they’ve signed with the Oregon-based Rock/Metal label, Rise Records. Amidst any speculation concerning the band signing to the label, they decided to clear things up in a status update:

If a group of 4 or 5 dudes showed up at my place between the hours of 3-6am to sleep all over the floors when i was younger, I would think it’s really strange. We tend to do that to everyone now. We stayed with Ryan, aka Rat, aka mr. Miyagi, formerly of Stray From The Path for a few hours in Orlando before we got our shit together for the day. We met up with Orlando’s most famous wrestling and hardcore multi-heritage handsome all around great dude Josh Call, and ate at some little good spot he suggested which was amazing. Thanksgiving dinner on a sandwich? Yes get right in my mouth. I dont remember the name of the place because i am old.
The dudes hit the mall while i hit the gym and lifted all the weight. We got to the Peacock Room with enough time for me to figure out once again the cable from the wireless packs is shot. Recurring nuisance of my life. Hung out with some new and old and Florida and beyond friend sand it was a fun night overall. Our good friend Jess from My Turn To Win was visiting friends there so it was a fun reunion. The show was in a small room that was packed pretty tight, so we blasted through the Hogan set, sweated buckets, dove off of everything and thrashed the night away. Rad show, sick crowd, great night.

ALBUM REVIEW:
At The Skylines - The Secrets To Life [2012]
Opening track. HUSH. Fucking awesome. Mark’s opening scream was way to good to open the track up! Great structure. Balanced screams and cleans. Good thing At The Skylines did was there are little choruses so both can sing verses throughout every song. It’s Cherried was powered up, mastered. Also The Amazing Atom. The track that got me most was Let’s Burn This. Great breakdowns, awesome transitions and catchy parts. Techno parts are awesome, very well placed throughout each song and they are not like those shitty bands that always have techno parts after the chorus. lol Shady Dreamin’ was good too. Very fast paced, catchy verses sung by Chris. Nice techno part in the start and the chorus was fantastic!
Summary:
Each track has this catchy part in the album. Great parts by Chris and Mark. Great guitar-work, breakdowns and riffs by Shawn and Billy, great drum-work too by David. Overall, the album was catchy, fun to listen to, very fast paced, synths were great and placed intelligently in every song. I personally can’t find any flaws as of the moment but I think in the later future I will but as of now I have not. For me, I’d give this album an 8.4/10. Don’t judge me if I’m wrong, this is my opinion. We all have different points of view in every track, genre, artist and album. So, this is mine, if you have question ask me up on my Tumblr page. :)
